Celler Laurona is undoubtedly the most prestigious winery of Monsant. The winery is located in Falset, the heart of Montsant DOC, and its vineyards are located in diverse places, such as La Figuera, where the native Garnacha 50 year-old grape is cultivated, and Falset, Darmós and Masroig where the Cariñena, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties are grown. LAURONA, an award winning wine distinguished by its personality and style is produced in this winery. The winery was created in 1999, with René Barbier, proprietor of Clos Mogador, and current enologist of Celler Laurona, as founder of the project.
